Basic Robotics Training

In this module you will learn about how Robotics came into existence and how educational Robotics can help us apply Scientific and Mathematical concepts; VEX IQ kit contents, the VEX IQ Controller, the VEX IQ Robot Brain, and all other important parts; how to pair the Controller with the Robot Brain and ways to identify Angle Beam types. Below are the course highlights:
• Comparing and counterchecking components to the Super Kit Component Map
• Building their SPEED quick robot build using building guides
• Walking through VEX IQ Blocks Software Program
• Update Firmware version of all the sensors and smart motors through robot brain connected to computer
• Hands-on experience of autonomous and teleoperation robotic functions
This module presents the design process flow, an engineering process that allows students to learn how to solve robotic builds issues and errors in robotic functions. The students will also start building their 4-wheeled robot, learn basic motor programming blocks and experience driver skills challenge. Below are the course highlights:
• Building process of Clawbot IQ Standard Driver Base, Tower, Object Holder and Claw
• Create First Robot Idea Book, using the Think-Do-Test Flow as a design process, basic troubleshooting on electronic component connections
• Review on VEX IQ Blocks Software Program, update Firmware version for all motors and the robot brain
• Basic autonomous programming and claw build modifications

Intermediate Robotics Training

Complex things are small things connected together to perform functions so as machines. This module will let you explore how simple machines and simple motion can be used as a machine design to complete a task. Below are the course highlights:
• Explore Levers, Pulleys, Pendulums and more
• Complete robot design activities and chain reaction device challenge
• Generating and comparing multiple possible solutions to a problem-based tasks
• Maximizing motion and event blocks programming to score in a robot skills challenge
• Setting-up an effective drivetrain and utilizing Pseudocode in programming
Scientific and Mathematical concepts are always used in creation, design, exploration, and application of Robotic Technology. Engineers would consider every possible way to make their machines work better. This module will make you understand how the STEM concept connections can be of great help in creating an effective robot design. Check-out the following highlights:
• Knowledge application of Friction, Centre of Gravity, Classical Mechanics and Mechanical Advantage
• Understanding Motion and Stability and Forces and Interactions
• Application of robotics mechanisms, their design and the corresponding Math and Science concepts
• Object manipulations, lifting mechanisms, drivetrains, gear ratio simulators and exercises
• Understanding the use of sensors and its application in programming thru If-ThenElse blocks
Now you are set to create and test your robotic designs and mechanisms to complete VIQ Challenge. This module will let you create and build your own smart machines which will enable you to complete a Robotics Skills Challenges and Alliance Challenges. You are now expected to work on your Engineering Notebook needed for your design process. Here are your course highlights:
• Next Level Game Challenge for both teleoperated and autonomous robot build
• Understand game challenge mechanics and being confident to build a design within the scope
• From robot modification to the use of sensors to maximize robotic functionality and being able to obtain the highest possible score
• Deeper understanding about the functions of the sensors

Advance Robotics Training

Chain Reaction Programming Challenge – Apply sensor and programming knowledge to automate fun devices
• Application of simple machines, sensors and programming to build and test autonomous Chain Reaction Devices.
• Challenge Rules for Autonomous Chain Reaction Device
• Define a simple design problem reflecting a need or a want that includes specified criteria for success and constraints on materials, time, or cost.
• Troubleshooting is a problem-solving method used to identify the cause of a malfunction in a technological system.
Smarter Machines – Expand your knowledge of sensors and programming
• Operations and Algebraic Thinking
• Measurement and Data
• Expressions and Equations
• Ratios and Proportional Relationships
• Open and Closed Loop System
• Clawbot IQ with Sensors Challenges
• Armbot IQ Challenges
• Custom Created VEX IQ Robot Challenges
• Plan and carry out fair tests in which variables are controlled and failure points are considered to identify aspects of a model or prototype that can be improved.

Special Trainings

Robotics competition training all in 3 Months with 6 sessions and having 3 hours per session. In this training, you will learn everything about the latest VEX IQ Game Challenge.
For this 2019-2020 season, VEX IQ Game Challenge (VIQC) is called Squared Away (2020-2021 Game will change and will be launched by May 2020)

We at TechKnights Robotics firmly believes that anyone can teach Robotics. There is no requirement in being a Robotics Educator but a willingness to learn new and advance things. Great teachers are always lifelong learners. This course will equip mentors to be ready to teach and train future scientists, engineers, and problem-solving leaders.
